Religious School

Religious School: The religious school at the LJCC is a small yet thriving community dedicated to innovative Judaic education. From kindergarten to high school, we encourage our students to be active members of our larger Jewish community. Our goal is to help promote the development of young Jewish people into Jewish adults. Our dream is carried out through the dedication of our teachers, a supportive PTO, and a caring community. The Religious School Committee is also a major contributor to (and component of)  the Lawrence Jewish Learning Center, and oversees the development and operation of the Preschool Playgroup, which is designed to bring together families of young children and to smooth the transition into Religious School. Please feel free to join us any Sunday morning when we are in session!

Cooperative Preschool Playgroup: Our mission is to develop a family oriented cooperative preschool playgroup to support families in crafting a positive Jewish identity for their children and to foster connections among Jewish families in the Lawrence area. The Playgroup is for Jewish and interfaith families with children ages birth to five. You do not have to be a member of the Congregation to join. Support for development of the Playgroup comes from grants from the Jewish Community Women and the Flo Harris Foundation. Please contact the LJCC office if you are interested in joining the Preschool Playgroup.

Religious School Enrollment for 2019-20.   We are making plans for an exciting year of Religious School and Hebrew tutoring beginning in the fall of 2019.  Please contact the LJCC office for more information.
